Gulmarg, Oct 3: The world famous ski destination of Gulmarg received its first snowfall of the season, covering the Afarwat peak in a pristine white blanket and delighting both tourists and locals. The fresh snowfall has also led to a noticeable drop in temperatures across the valley.
Residents expressed optimism that the early snow will attract more tourists, providing a boost to the local economy, which heavily relies on winter tourism. Authorities have, however, advised visitors to remain cautious in higher altitude areas due to slippery and potentially hazardous conditions.
