NEW DELHI, Jun 26: Delhi Police has arrested two more alleged members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in connection with the firing outside a gym linked to singer Guru Randhawa. The arrests were made after a brief encounter in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar during the early hours of Thursday, officials said.
The accused have been identified as Sagar and Hakikat, also known as Sahil, both residents of Sonipat in Haryana. Investigators alleged that the duo was directly involved in the shooting incident and had acted on the instructions of their handlers, Anil Pandit and Hariram Jat alias Harry Boxer.
According to police, both alleged handlers are absconding and are believed to be operating from outside the country while coordinating activities for the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate. Efforts are underway to trace their whereabouts and bring them to justice.
The two suspects were intercepted near Meera Bagh in Paschim Vihar following a targeted operation launched on the basis of specific intelligence inputs. After the brief exchange, police succeeded in taking both into custody.
With the latest arrests, the total number of accused apprehended in the Guru Randhawa gym firing case has increased to four. Investigators believe the development will help unravel the larger conspiracy behind the attack and identify other individuals involved in the criminal network.
Delhi Police said the investigation is continuing, with teams pursuing additional leads to locate the remaining absconding accused and uncover the full extent of the gang’s involvement in the incident.
