Jammu, 08 August 2026: J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, along with General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, addressed a series of organizational meetings at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, to review preparations for the forthcoming Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and other important party programmes.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, and BJP General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria, and Gopal Mahajan also addressed the meetings.
The meetings focused on ensuring the successful implementation of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign across every district, constituency, Mandal, Shakti Kendra, and Booth of Jammu & Kashmir. Senior leaders directed party functionaries to intensify grassroots outreach so that the Tricolour reaches every household and the campaign becomes a true people’s movement reflecting the spirit of national unity and patriotism.
Sat Sharma, addressing the meetings, said that Har Ghar Tiranga is not merely a campaign but a national mission to honour the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters who dedicated their lives for an independent India. He said that Bharat’s freedom came after a long and determined struggle against British rule and repeated foreign invasions, making the National Flag a symbol of courage, sacrifice, unity, and national pride. He urged every BJP worker to ensure that the Tricolour flies atop every home in Jammu & Kashmir, adding that patriotism flows through the veins of every Indian and every citizen should proudly display the Tiranga with honour and respect.
Sat Sharma directed party leaders to organize Tiranga Yatras in every locality by involving booth committees, youth, women, social organizations, ex-servicemen, and prominent citizens to create a vibrant atmosphere of nationalism across the Union Territory. He said the campaign must reach every village and every ward with maximum public participation.
Ashok Koul emphasized the observance of Vibhajan Vibhishika Diwas to remind the younger generation of the tragic human suffering witnessed during the Partition of Bharat. He said lakhs of innocent people were displaced from their ancestral homes, countless families were massacred, and unimaginable hardships were endured during the country’s division. Remembering this painful chapter, he said, strengthens the collective resolve to preserve national unity, social harmony, and the integrity of the nation while ensuring that such tragedies are never repeated.
