Haryana Thunders Beat Delhi Dangal Warriors 5–4 to Win PWL 2026 Final

Iryna Koliadenko seals championship in final bout as tense showdown goes down to the wire

SRINAGAR, Feb 2: Haryana Thunders emerged champions of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026 after pulling off a dramatic 5–4 victory against Delhi Dangal Warriors in a high voltage final at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

The title clash remained evenly poised through eight bouts, with both teams locked at 4–4 heading into the decisive contest. The championship was ultimately settled in the women’s 62kg category, where Paris Olympic silver medallist Iryna Koliadenko delivered under immense pressure. Displaying tactical control and relentless aggression, she secured a 16–0 technical superiority win to hand Haryana the winning point.

With the triumph, Haryana Thunders claimed the PWL 2026 trophy along with a prize purse of Rs 1.5 crore, while Delhi Dangal Warriors finished runners-up and earned Rs 75 lakh.

Delhi’s Turan Bayramov was named Player of the Tournament after an unbeaten campaign in the men’s 57kg category, winning all seven of his bouts and accumulating 59 points. Punjab Royals’ Chandermohan ended the season as the highest overall point scorer.

Several standout performances were recognised on the night. Haryana’s Neha Sangwan earned Player of the Match honours for her crucial contribution, while Delhi heavyweight Ronak was adjudged Fighter of the Match following his dominant outing in the 125kg division. Haryana’s Akshay Dhere was named Impact Player of the Match for his commanding display in the men’s 57kg bout.

The final opened with Delhi drawing first blood as Bayramov registered a convincing win in the men’s 74kg contest. Haryana responded swiftly through Kajal Dhochack, who edged past Anastasiya Alpyeeva in the women’s 76kg bout to level the scores.

Momentum swung back and forth throughout the evening, with victories from Sujeet Kalkal and Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar pushing Delhi ahead at different stages, while Haryana stayed in contention through strong performances by Yui Susaki and Akshay Dhere.

Ronak’s win in the men’s 125kg bout put Delhi on the brink of the title, but Neha Sangwan’s pinfall victory in the women’s 57kg category forced the match into a final decider. Koliadenko then produced the defining moment of the season, sealing the championship and bringing an end to a memorable PWL 2026 campaign marked by close contests and elite wrestling.
