New Delhi, Dec 03 : The Delhi High Court on Wednesday refused to entertain a petition seeking the formation of a court monitored committee to supervise every stage of the Red Fort blast case trial.
The court observed that proceedings in the case have not yet begun and the concerns raised by the petitioner were based solely on apprehension. It said there was no basis to assume that the trial would face delays.
The petition, filed by Dr. Pankaj Pushkar, sought directions for a day to day hearing of the case and for the investigating agency to submit monthly status reports before a court-appointed oversight committee.
