New Delhi, Feb 27 : In a tragic development for Indian cricket, Rinku Singh, star player of Team India, lost his father, Khachandra Singh, during the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026. Khachandra Singh passed away at Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida after a prolonged battle with stage four liver cancer.
He had been admitted to the hospital for several days under close medical supervision. In the final stages of his illness, Khachandra Singh’s condition worsened, requiring ventilator support and continuous renal replacement therapy. The medical team had been monitoring him closely, but he succumbed to his illness.
The news comes as a heavy emotional blow for Rinku Singh and the Indian cricket team, who are currently competing at the highest level in the T20 World Cup.
