Authorities in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal issued fresh advisories after temperatures crossed dangerous levels in many districts. Educational institutions in several regions have been directed to either shut temporarily or operate during early morning hours to protect students from extreme weather.
Health experts warned that children are among the most vulnerable groups during prolonged heatwaves, especially in urban areas facing water shortages and humidity related stress.
