Heritage Walk organized at Katra to mark World Tourism Day

REASI, SEPTEMBER 27: To mark “World Tourism Day 2025”, the Directorate of Tourism Jammu, in collaboration with District Administration Reasi, organised a Heritage Walk at Katra, today.

The walk commenced from Fountain Chowk, Katra and passed through the old bazar, Chinta Mani Temple, Old Darshani Deodi and culminated at the Bhumika Temple situated on the traditional Yatra route.

Earlier, Sub Divisional Magistrate Piyush Dhotra flagged off the Walk, comprising school children, representatives of Hotel & Travel Trade Association, market associations and local residents.

The participants spread awareness about the importance of sustainable development of tourism and raised slogans highlighting the need to protect the environment.

Prominent attendees included Sham Lal Kesar, Chairman Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra; Varinder Kesar, Sr. Vice-President Hotel & Restaurant Association; Raj Kumar Padha, President CTTIK Atul Sharma, Secretary CTTIK Vishal Kapoor and Neelam Singh.
