House Arrest of Sanjay Singh, Detention of Mehraj Malik Condemned by Shiv Sena in Jammu

An attempt to suppress the loud voice of the opposition on public issues.
Jammu, 11-09-2025:Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu Kashmir unit has strongly condemned the detention of AAP MLA from the Doda East Assembly seat of Jammu under PSA and called it unconstitutional. Along with this, the house arrest of AAP MP Sanjay Singh in Kashmir has been strongly condemned.
During a press conference held at the party’s state central office, state chief Sahni said that this kind of politics of crushing in democracy is not only a direct violation of the rights granted by the Constitution but is also a suppression of the rights of the people’s representatives.
Sahni alleged that the BJP is moving ahead with the single-point goal of suppressing the voice of the opposition and ending democracy in the entire country with the help of its dictatorial policies, directly and indirectly.  He said that, before Maharaj Malik, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut, Hemant Soren, Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, Sanjay Singh, and countless opposition leaders have been detained with the help of government agencies. Sahni took a dig at the double standards of the BJP and said that under a law like PSA, arrests should have been made of BJP leaders like Vijay Shah, who had made objectionable remarks on a Muslim woman army officer. Sahni said that the Jammu division has been facing heavy natural disasters for the last few weeks. Despite being a Union Territory, the Central Government has not yet announced a relief package for Jammu and Kashmir.
The session of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly is also going to start soon, in such a situation, a situation is being created so that the discussion on the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir state status, disaster and other important public issues becomes secondary in the uproar due to Malik’s detention. Sahni has also advised Maharaj to rein in his talkativeness.  On this occasion, General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, Raju Kapoor (Co-Chairman), and Aditya Mahajan (State Secretary) were present.
