Huge Investments Drawn to UP by Honest Government, Safe Environment: Piyush Goyal

New Delhi, Feb 12 : According to Piyush Goyal, minister of commerce, there are significant commitments to investment in Uttar Pradesh as a result of the state’s honest administration and secure environment. The commerce minister noted that investors made promises totaling several lakhs of crores of rupees during the summit when speaking on the conference’s final day in Lucknow. According to Goyal, it is evidence that people now think it is simple to invest in the state, that the state has an honest system, that law and order is in place, and that investors have faith in the state’s people.

In 2020, Uttar Pradesh was a state with an emerging ecosystem, but by 2021, it had become a leader in the start-up ecosystem.

Goyal added that there are 8,277 start-ups in the state.

He claimed that India signed three significant free trade agreements last year, and that we were aiming to sign two or three more this year. These agreements will help the state’s brewers and wineries get access to markets, investments, and technologies.

The vast opportunities for investors are demonstrated by a recent rise in exports and the number of new businesses in Uttar Pradesh, Goyal continued.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of the state, said earlier on Saturday that the summit had attracted investments worth Rs 33 lakh crore.

It had started on February 10th.
