Srinagar, Nov 16: On Wednesday, the Income Tax department searched numerous Khyber Group offices in Gulmarg and Srinagar. According to reliable sources, police and officials from the Income Tax department raided the home of Ghulam Ahmad’s son, Abdul Rouf Trumboo, in Gogji-Bagh. Owner of Khyber Business Group is Tramboo. Tax-related searches are currently active.
Another team from the Income Tax division stormed the office of (Khyber) owned by Rouf tramboo at Hazuri Bagh close to Dhar Pharmacy where searches are being conducted. This squad was led by the Deputy Director IT.
A third team from the department conducted a similar operation at the Khyber Himalayan Resort (hotel) in Gulmarg. The Income Tax department’s sleuth has sealed up all entry and exit points, and searches are being conducted.
An official also confirmed the raids, stating that searches have been going on since the morning and that details will be released once all searches have been completed.
