New Delhi, Feb 26 : Bhojpuri actor Akshara Singh has once again addressed the long-running controversy surrounding her past relationship with singer-actor Pawan Singh, saying she is unable to move forward in life due to constant public scrutiny.
In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Akshara reflected on the emotional strain caused by recurring rumours and social media discussions linking her to her former partner. She said she wishes to settle down and lead a peaceful life but finds it difficult as old matters continue to resurface.
The actor recalled that Amrapali Dubey supported her during a challenging period around Pawan Singh’s wedding. Expressing gratitude, she noted that she values those who stood by her when she was facing criticism.
Akshara questioned what she described as a gender-based double standard. She alleged that while her former partner’s personal life is rarely scrutinised, she continues to face judgement and character attacks. According to her, repeated online discussions and speculative content have not only affected her public image but also caused distress to her family.
She stated that she has already addressed her past in earlier interviews and does not wish to revisit it repeatedly. Emphasising her desire to move ahead, she said the continued attention makes it harder to envision a stable future.
The remarks have once again brought attention to the prolonged fallout between the two Bhojpuri stars and reignited debate over celebrity scrutiny and gender bias in the entertainment industry.
