New Delhi, Oct 30 : In a strong advisory to banking job aspirants, the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued a public warning against a fake recruitment notice being circulated across social media platforms and messaging apps.
The institute clarified that certain individuals and organisations are falsely claiming to be “affiliated with IBPS” or “associated with its recruitment processes.” IBPS categorically denied these claims, stressing that no external agency, consultant, or individual is authorised to represent or participate in any of its recruitment or selection activities.
Reiterating its commitment to transparency, IBPS stated that all official recruitment notifications and updates are released only through its official website www.ibps.in. Aspirants have been urged to ignore any advertisements, emails, or posts that do not originate from this verified domain.
Legal Action Against Misuse of IBPS Identity
The institute cautioned that its name, logo, and other identifiers are registered trademarks, and any unauthorised use or impersonation will attract strict legal action. IBPS also advised individuals or entities misusing its identity to immediately stop such fraudulent activities.
Warning to Candidates
“The public in general and jobseekers in particular are cautioned that IBPS neither authorises nor endorses any individuals or entities in relation to its operations or functions,” the institute said in an official statement.
IBPS further stated it will not be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by individuals who fall victim to fake or unauthorised recruitment communications.
The advisory concluded with a reminder to all aspirants to verify information only through official sources to avoid being misled by fraudulent job offers.
