SRINAGAR, Feb 21: Security forces recovered an improvised explosive device in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday, prompting swift action from bomb disposal experts, officials said.
The explosive device was discovered inside a bag left along the roadside at Gulab Sheikh Mohalla near Kohestan Colony in Safapora.
Authorities immediately secured the area and summoned a bomb disposal squad to neutralise the threat. Further investigation is underway to ascertain who planted the device and the intended target, officials added.
