Income tax raids on the bases of Anurag-Tapasi and others on the second day as well

Mumbai:  The Income Tax department’s raids on the locations of filmmaker and director Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena and actress Taapsee Pannu, etc., who were the main actors of ‘Phantom Films Production House’, closed in 2018, continue for the second consecutive day on Thursday. The Income Tax team has recovered 3 laptops and 4 computers from the houses and offices of Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu.

According to sources, people connected with Fatum Films may continue to raid on the third day on Friday as well. However, till now the Income Tax team has not given any official information about the raid to the media.
According to sources, the Income Tax team had issued a notice to the operators of Phantom Films 20 days ago to present the details of the financial income of Fatam Films and the tax paid on it. After this, the details were also sent by Phantom Films, but the Income Tax Department was not satisfied with this. For this reason, the Income Tax Department on Wednesday raided 22 locations in Mumbai and Pune of Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena, Taapsee Pannu, and others. On Wednesday, the Income Tax team questioned Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu for 6 hours. On Thursday, the Income Tax team is conducting a raid in an office in Andheri area.
