India, Apr 18 : The Government of India has intensified efforts to modernize the country’s education system by expanding digital learning infrastructure in rural and semi-urban regions. Under new directives issued between April 17–18, thousands of government schools are being equipped with smart boards, high-speed internet connectivity, and AI-enabled learning tools.
Officials stated that the initiative aims to reduce disparities in education access while improving overall learning outcomes. Special training modules are also being introduced for teachers to adapt to hybrid teaching methods.
Experts believe that the move will significantly boost literacy and skill development, especially in underserved regions, aligning with India’s broader vision of a digitally empowered society.
