India Inc Revenue Growth Accelerates to 22% in June Quarter: ICRA

Stronger performance across corporate India marks a sharp improvement from the 13% expansion recorded in the previous quarter.

NEW DELHI, Aug 14: Corporate India’s revenue growth accelerated sharply in the first quarter of the 2026-27 financial year, with income of 838 listed companies rising 22 per cent year on year, according to a report by rating agency ICRA.

The increase marks a significant improvement over the 13 per cent revenue growth recorded by the same set of companies during the March quarter, pointing to a stronger start to FY27.

The performance indicates that businesses across several sectors have entered the new financial year with improved revenue momentum despite continuing uncertainty in global markets.

The latest figures also suggest that corporate activity has remained resilient amid elevated input costs, geopolitical tensions and fluctuations in commodity prices.

Analysts are closely watching whether the stronger revenue trend can translate into sustained profitability in the coming quarters. A continued improvement in domestic demand, along with investment activity, could provide further support to businesses.

The June-quarter performance comes as Indian companies navigate an uncertain international environment, including elevated crude oil prices and geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

The acceleration in corporate revenues provides an encouraging signal for the broader economy and could support expectations of stronger business activity during the remainder of FY27.
