New Delhi, FEb 20 : Industry leaders at the India AI Impact Summit highlighted India’s growing influence in artificial intelligence, stressing that AI must remain open, trusted, and accessible globally rather than concentrated in a few hands.
Sunil Mittal, founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises, noted that AI is becoming integral to telecom operations and predicted transformative impacts across healthcare, education, and medical sciences.
Shantanu Narayen, chairman and CEO of Adobe, said India is likely to see one of the world’s largest AI user bases in the coming years. “The leadership role India can play not just in AI deployment, but in shaping data privacy, security, and trust is significant,” he said.
Narayen also highlighted the importance of authenticity in the era of generative AI, calling for provenance and watermarks to help users distinguish real content from fabricated material.
