New Delhi: India Post has introduced a new suite of premium delivery solutions aimed at ensuring faster and more reliable shipment of urgent consignments, with assured timelines of 24 and 48 hours.
The services 24 Speed Post, 24 Speed Post Parcel and 48 Speed Post were launched by Jyotiraditya Scindia, signalling a push to modernise the country’s postal network and tap into the growing logistics demand.
In the initial phase, the offerings will be available across six major cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The department plans to ensure timely delivery through dedicated processing systems and priority air transport.
Officials said the new services come equipped with features such as OTP based delivery verification, real-time tracking updates and SMS alerts, enhancing transparency and customer convenience.
For businesses, the department has introduced flexible options like ‘Book Now, Pay Later’, centralised billing and API integration, along with free pickup for bulk consignments. A money back guarantee has also been promised in case delivery timelines are not met.
The initiative is seen as part of a broader strategy to strengthen logistics capabilities and capitalise on the rapid expansion of India’s e-commerce sector, which is projected to witness substantial growth in the coming years.
