Bats for stringent punishment to perpetrators of targeted killings in Kashmir

JAMMU, May 31: In a hard-hitting statement against those behind the targeted killings in Kashmir, senior BJP leader, and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday said that India will not tolerate ‘Islamic Terrorism’ anymore as enough has been tolerated till date.

The statement of BJP stalwart came in wake of the targeted killing of another Hindu lady teacher in south Kashmir’s Kulgam area.

Kavinder strongly condemned the Islamic terrorist act that shot dead a lady teacher–Rajni Bala hailing from Samba District at Gopalpora area of Kulgam. He said that the deceased teacher was recruited under the inter-district recruitment policy in the valley.

“Selective Killing of a female teacher like this is the biggest crime of humanity.  There is a dire need that the strictest possible punishment should be given to those behind this gruesome act which has inflicted irreparable loss to the bereaved family of Rajni Bala.

The senior BJP leader said that enough is enough as the time has come to teach a lesson to Pakistan which is doing such cowardly acts in the Valley to vitiate peace and tranquility achieved by the BJP Government at the Centre after about eight years of unrelenting hard work and extraordinary policy on Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Kavinder also visited the residence of Prof Bhim Singh to condole the demise of the veteran leader.

Kavinder said that Prof Bhim Singh was a multifaceted personality because apart from politics, he was also the Supreme Court lawyer and was also fighting the cases of Pakistani prisoners of war languishing in Indian Jails without taking a penny from them.

The former Deputy Chief Minister said that Prof Bhim Singh has earned their name and fame in the elite class for being a cordial personality who was always ready to help people in trouble. He also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Prof Bhim Singh and prayed for peace to the departed soul.

Meanwhile, Kavinder also met a number of people at his residence and listened to their issues and demands pertaining to civic issues. He assured them that their issues would be resolved in a time-bound manner.
