Indian Army signs agreement with Bank of Baroda for ‘Military Salary Package’

New Delhi, December 23: The Indian Army and Bank of Baroda have entered into an agreement for the ‘Baroda Military Salary Package’. The agreement was signed by Lt Gen Raveen Khosla, Director General (MP&PS), and Vikramaditya Singh Khichi, Executive Director of Bank of Baroda.

On this occasion, Lieutenant General Harsh Gupta, the Adjutant General of the Indian Army was present, who was also presiding over the meeting. The agreement lays down the basis on which banking services will be provided by the Bank of Baroda for serving and retired personnel of the Indian Army. Services will be provided under ‘Baroda Military Salary Package’ for serving and retired personnel of the Indian Army through Bank of Baroda’s network of over 8,200 domestic branches and around 20,000 business correspondent touchpoints.
The package provides free personal accident insurance protection, permanent total disability protection, partial disability, and aircraft accident insurance protection with sufficient funds, as well as higher education security in the event of the death of serving personnel and girl marriage protection.
