NEW DELHI, Jan 15: President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday extended greetings to the nation’s soldiers, veterans and their families on the occasion of Army Day, praising their unwavering commitment to the country and their enduring “nation first” spirit.
In a post on X, the President said the Indian Army remains steadfast in safeguarding the unity, sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
“Our soldiers defend our borders and provide critical assistance during disasters and humanitarian crises,” Murmu said, adding that their selfless service and dedication continue to inspire every Indian.
She also acknowledged the sacrifices made by Army personnel and their families, noting that their courage and resilience form the backbone of the nation’s security and humanitarian response.
