India, Dec 02 : An IndiGo flight from Kuwait to Hyderabad was forced to make an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai on Tuesday morning following a reported bomb threat.
The threat, reportedly sent via email, warned of explosives on board, prompting security agencies at both Hyderabad and Mumbai airports to activate full emergency protocols. Upon landing, security personnel immediately isolated the aircraft and conducted a thorough inspection.
Fortunately, no suspicious items or explosives were found, and the threat was later confirmed to be a hoax after rigorous checks.
IndiGo confirmed that flight 6E1234, operating between Kuwait and Hyderabad, was diverted to Mumbai on December 2, 2025, following the security alert.
