REASI, SEPTEMBER 17: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today inaugurated the Inter-Zone District Level tournament here at General Zorawar Singh Stadium Reasi.
The tournament has been organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, and Volleyball.
In the opening Kabaddi match, the team of Zone Chassana was defeated by the team of zone Arnas, while in the first Kho-Kho match Zone Pouni was defeated by Zone Reasi. Similarly, Arnas emerged the winner in the Volleyball match by defeating Zone Pouni by 2-0 points.
Earlier, the DC interacted with the Students and motivated them to channelize their energy towards the right direction. He advised them to actively participate in the sports for their all-around development.
District Youth Service and Sports Officer Subash Chander informed that the department is also holding Chess, Carrom, Badminton, and Cricket competitions for Boys and Girls of all age groups.
