Jammu, Feb 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have successfully rescued five minor girls from a human trafficking racket and apprehended four people in connection with the case, as per police reports on Tuesday. The police had received information about minor girls waiting at a bus stand and after interrogation, it was discovered that they were victims of human trafficking.
By utilizing both electronic technology and human intelligence, the police were able to arrest the gang of four who were responsible for running the trafficking ring. The individuals behind the operation have been identified as Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Rafiq, Asma, and Rohina Akhtar.
Following the completion of legal procedures, the minor girls were sent for counseling to help them cope with the traumatic experience.
