Jammu, Dec 22: In view of prevailing adverse weather conditions and concerns over student safety, the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Jammu, on Monday cancelled all previously granted permissions for school picnics scheduled from December 22 onwards.
According to an official notice issued by the Office of the Chief Education Officer, the decision applies to both government and private recognised schools. The order stated that all earlier permissions granted for organising picnics stand cancelled ab initio to ensure the safety and well-being of students amid unfavourable weather conditions.
School authorities have been directed to strictly comply with the order and refrain from organising any picnic activities until further instructions are issued.
