Jammu division reports 36 new COVID-19 cases, Kashmir Valley reports 49

15-04-2023 : Officials announced on Saturday that Jammu and Kashmir registered 85 new cases of Covid-19 within the past 24 hours. No fatalities were reported during this time. Of these new cases, 36 were recorded in Jammu division while 49 were identified in the Kashmir Valley, bringing the total number of cases to 480,831. Out of this total, 174,560 cases were from Jammu division and 306,271 cases from the Kashmir Valley. The district-wise breakdown of the cases showed that Jammu district reported 28 cases, followed by Anantnag with 13 cases, Srinagar with nine cases, Bandipora and Pulwama with eight cases each, Baramulla with six cases, Budgam with four cases, and one case each from Doda, Poonch, Reasi, and Kulgam.

There were no reported deaths in either Jammu division or the Kashmir Valley. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,789 people have died from the virus in Jammu and Kashmir, with 2,356 fatalities in Jammu division and 2,433 in the Kashmir Valley. Meanwhile, 55 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the past 24 hours, including 10 from Jammu division and 45 from the Kashmir Valley. The number of active cases in the region is currently 716, with 237 in Jammu and 389 in the Kashmir Valley.
