JAMMU, Jan 12: A cold and foggy morning gripped Jammu on Monday, disrupting normal life and transport, officials said. Dense fog during the early hours reduced visibility, leading to thin vehicular movement across city roads. Motorists were advised to drive cautiously, particularly on major arterial routes and city entry points.
The adverse weather also impacted air traffic at Jammu Airport, causing delays for three scheduled flights, including those on the Jammu–Srinagar, Jammu–Delhi, and Jammu–Indore routes. Airport authorities said flight operations were adjusted in accordance with safety protocols, and passengers were urged to check with airlines for updated schedules.
Weather experts noted that such foggy conditions are typical for winter mornings in the region and may persist intermittently depending on temperature and moisture levels. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and have asked commuters to exercise caution while traveling during dense fog.
