Jammu Gears Up for Prestigious 6th Edition of Yuva Kabaddi Series: A Platform for Young Talent

Jammu approved as venue for Yuva Kabaddi Series

JAMMU, August 17: Jammu has been approved as the competition venue for proposed 6th edition of the Yuva Kabaddi Series being organised in collaboration with J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association and J&K Sports Council. The upgraded Kabaddi facility within MA Stadium has almost been finalised by the organisers of the Yuva Kabaddi Series an initiative to provide platform to those young players of 18 years to under 23 years at the National level.

“All five editions of the Yuva Kabaddi Series are held in the indoor facility. But we don’t have any problem with existing facility within MA Stadium Complex to host the upcoming event. The J&K Association has assured of support and we are about to take a favourable decision,” said visiting Tournament leader, Mr Abhishek from Chennai.

It was a long cherished dream of Kabaddi Association in J&K to host the Mega Event with the sole aim to give fillip to the indigenous game in this part of the country. The Dreams has been fulfilled by the dynamic Secretary J&K Sports Council  Mrs. Nuzhat Gull who has provided the platform at the International Level as Individual Kabaddi Stadium is one of the Best in the North Zone of India and Further she assured the rest of the construction part will be completed very shortly before the start of Yuva Kabaddi Series.

“The venue has almost been finalised for the 6th edition of the Yuva Kabaddi Series after a two-day visit of team led by Tournament leader, Mr Abhishek. It was a long cherished dream of the Association to hold the important event in Jammu,” informed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Association, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta under the leadership of Sh. Anil Gupta (Anu) President, Sh. Surinder Mohan (General Secretary) and S. S. Gill (Vice President & International Technical Official)

Now, with hosting of the event is quite visible, the J&K Kabaddi Association will soon announce the dates for the selection trials of the J&K team.

“The main objective of this series is to provide a platform to the youth to showcase their talent within an extremely competitive framework of the most talented Kabaddi players from across the nation, and eventually other parts of the globe,” added Mr Abhishek.
