Jammu, Apr 6: Traffic movement along the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway was suspended on Monday morning after heavy rains triggered landslides and falling stones in Ramban district, officials confirmed.
According to traffic authorities, the highway has been blocked in both directions between Karol Bridge and Chanderkote due to continuous debris fall and shooting stones. The affected stretch has been rendered unsafe for vehicular movement.
Officials said that clearance operations are currently in progress, with men and machinery deployed to remove the accumulated debris and restore connectivity at the earliest.
