Chief Minister’s Japan Visit Aims to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation and Explore New Investment Opportunities

UP, Feb 25 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arrived in Tokyo on Wednesday for an official visit focused on enhancing investment prospects and industrial development in the state. The two-day visit, scheduled from February 25-26, will include high-level meetings and interactions aimed at deepening economic collaboration between Uttar Pradesh and Japanese partners.

Ahead of his Japan trip, the Chief Minister highlighted significant investment momentum in Singapore. The state has reportedly received proposals totaling Rs 1 lakh crore, with MoUs worth Rs 60,000 crore already finalized. Describing this as a milestone, he emphasized that these initiatives are pivotal to achieving Uttar Pradesh’s goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy.

Addressing an investor roadshow in Singapore, CM Yogi positioned Uttar Pradesh as a secure and rapidly expanding investment destination. He assured business leaders that investments in the state are protected and highlighted the administration’s efforts to combine scale, skill, and speed to foster growth.

CM Yogi also underlined the state’s evolving identity centered on transformation and progress. Reflecting on India’s broader economic trajectory, he noted the country’s remarkable growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, positioning India on track to become the world’s third-largest economy.

Emphasizing Uttar Pradesh’s economic performance, he revealed that the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) rose from Rs 13 lakh crore to Rs 36 lakh crore over the past nine years, now contributing 9.5% to India’s GDP. The Chief Minister described the state as a “dream destination” for investors, leading in Ease of Doing Business and regulatory reforms.
