Jammu, Sep 1: A criminal was apprehended in Jammu on Sunday, found in possession of a 12-bore double-barrel gun and two live cartridges, according to the police. The individual, identified as Jeet Raj, a resident of Galwadey Chak, was arrested near his home in Marh tehsil while driving his private vehicle. The illegal firearm and ammunition were discovered concealed in the vehicle’s boot, a police spokesman reported.
Following the arrest, a formal case has been registered at the Kanachak Police Station. Authorities are now conducting a thorough investigation to investigate Raj’s activities, potential accomplices, and any possible connections to a broader criminal network.
