MILAN, Sept 27: Jennifer Lopez brought Hollywood glamour to Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring-Summer 2027 runway show, drawing loud cheers from fans gathered outside the venue and commanding attention from the front row in a dark velvet suit, matching cap and equestrian boots.
The latest collection reworked Dolce & Gabbana’s signature Sicilian heritage through a modern generational lens, presenting traditional elements as pieces that could be passed from one generation to the next.
Nubby tweed suits appeared with leopard-print detailing and coordinating skirts, while youthful bloomers and bra tops featured checked tablecloth-inspired patterns paired with sheer stockings. Lace slips were given a fresh finish with fringe and bead embellishments.
The designers also transformed crocheted doilies, commonly associated with Italian homes and markets, into refined skirts and dresses.
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana targeted a younger audience by blending polished denim with gardening-inspired boots while retaining the fashion house’s familiar black dresses, lingerie-inspired designs and animal prints.
Lopez’s appearance also attracted considerable attention outside the venue. Fans held signs for K-pop star Choi San and Japanese actor Hikaru Iwamoto, but chants for “J-Lo” grew louder as attendees left the show.
The singer and actress has maintained a long association with Dolce & Gabbana. Earlier this week, she appeared at Vogue World in a strapless black tulle gown by the Italian label, featuring sequined detailing.
At the Milan runway, Lopez closely followed the models as they presented the collection. Among the standout pieces was a dramatic animal-print hooded cape with gold embellishments and faux-fur trim, styled over loose-fitting jeans and offering a distinctly glamorous finishing touch.
