RANCHI, Aug 10: Student groups in Jharkhand are set to hold a march towards the state Assembly on Monday, intensifying their protest over alleged irregularities surrounding recruitment examinations.
The planned demonstration comes despite repeated appeals from the state government to call off the agitation. Student representatives have rejected the administration’s assertion that 98 per cent of their demands have already been addressed.
The dispute has centred on concerns over the conduct of competitive recruitment examinations and allegations of irregularities in the examination process.
Students have maintained pressure on the authorities, seeking action on issues affecting candidates and greater transparency in the recruitment system.
The proposed Assembly march is expected to bring the students’ demands directly before lawmakers and increase pressure on the government to resolve the controversy.
The latest development comes amid a broader debate over examination integrity in Jharkhand, with candidates demanding safeguards that can ensure fair opportunities and protect the credibility of competitive recruitment tests.
