Jammu, Feb 10 : Mr. Karan Bhagat, Chairman SC Department of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee called on AICC Incharge Jammu and Kashmir Smt. Rajni Patil (MP) in New Delhi and apprised her about the various issues of SC community in JK UT. He said that there is a delay in the implementation of all the schemes launched by UPA for the upliftment of SC community. Scholarship for SC students is not reached for the last 3 years. The Govt. keep its eyes closed on oppression and cases of Dalit atrocities are on high rise. There is major fall in release of SCSP funds in the last five years.
Karan Bhagat also discussed various ways and means to strengthen the Congress party at all levels in Jammu and Kashmir. He requested the party high command that due representation should be given to SC people in the organization at all levels including Wards, Blocks, Districts and PCC.
