J&K Govt Promotes 19 JKAS Officers to Higher Administrative Scales in Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 26: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the promotion of 19 officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) to higher scales across various levels of the civil administration. The promotions, approved by the General Administration Department.

According to the official order, five senior officers in the Special Scale, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Itoo, Tariq Hussain Ganai, Mohammad Rafi, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza, and Rubina Kousar, have been elevated to the Super Time Scale of JKAS, marking a key milestone in their administrative careers. Consequent to their promotion, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Itoo, Tariq Hussain Ganai, and Rubina Kousar have been designated as Director General in their respective departments, while the remaining officers will continue to serve at their current postings until further directions are issued.

In another order, six JKAS officers, Parvez Sajad Ganai, Vir Krishan Dhar, Tahir Firdous Dutta, Shokat Mehmood, Vishal Sharma, and Des Raj Bhagat have been promoted to the Special Scale of JKAS. Of these, Vir Krishan Dhar, Shokat Mehmood, and Vishal Sharma have been appointed as Special Secretaries in their respective departments, whereas the rest will continue at their existing positions.

Further strengthening the middle tier of the administrative machinery, a third order announced the promotion of eight officers, Parvinder Kour, Manu Hansa, Nasir Mahmood Khan, Ahsanul Haq Chisti, Mohamad Ashraf, Towfeeq Ahmad Gazi, Sanjeev Sharma, and Sunaini Saini to the Selection Grade of JKAS. Following the promotion, Mohamad Ashraf has been designated as Additional Secretary to the Government in his respective department, with others directed to continue in their current roles.
