J&K LG Sinha Dismisses Two Government Employees for Alleged Terror Links

Action part of administration’s continued crackdown on employees aiding terror networks, both accused linked to LeT and narco-terror operations.

Srinagar, Oct 30: In a decisive move against terrorism, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has terminated two Jammu and Kashmir government employees for their alleged involvement in terror related activities. The action, taken under Article 311 of the Constitution of India, reflects the administration’s zero-tolerance policy toward individuals abetting terrorism from within government ranks.

The dismissed employees include Ghulam Hussain, a teacher in the Education Department, who has been accused of working as an Over Ground Worker (OGW) for the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Officials allege that Hussain maintained close links with terrorists and facilitated recruitment and funding activities in Reasi district.

The second individual, Majid Iqbal Dar, a teacher and former Lab Assistant, was allegedly involved in narco terrorism, youth radicalization, and terror financing through drug money. Authorities claim he also had connections to IED plots in Rajouri and continued his subversive activities even while under detention.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has reiterated that individuals found supporting terror in any form directly or indirectly will face strict disciplinary and legal action, including dismissal from government service.
