Jammu, 19-03-2024: Gorkha Community of J&K U.T special thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Lt. Govt. Sh. Manoj Sinha for granting OBC status to the Gorkha Community of J&K U.T. Gorkha Community celebrated the announcement of the OBC status and every member of Gorkha Community thanks P.M, H.M & Lt. Governor of J&K U.T.And to this effect govt. notification no.176 of 2024 dt.15/3/24 so has been issued and circulated to all newspapers and concerned authorities for its implementation above in the letter and spirit.
It is also worth mentioning for the last 7 decades this community has been approaching the state govt. and other authorities for granting of due OBC status has been done in other states of this country in favor of Gorkha Community residing there in a respected place but in the case of J&K Gorkha Community name has not been done except only this time. When the BJP govt. came up for the redressal of general grievances of long demand of OBC to our Gorkha Community.
We shall ever remain grateful to P.M Sh. Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Lt. Governor of J&K U.T Manoj Sinha for granting OBC status to the Gorkha Community. In the meeting, all dignitaries of the Gorkha Community were present at this event.
