Srinagar June 5, 2023: Congress represents the urges and aspirations of the people in the true sense, and believes in equality, harmony, and deliverance of justice to every section of the people living in the country. The democratic institutions in the country are under assault, but the Congress shall continue to struggle for safeguarding democratic institutions and the rights of the people despite coercion and vendetta politics unleashed by BJP against the opposition, especially Congress.
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Vikar Rasool Wani made these comments while welcoming DDC Member Khonmoh (Srinagar) Manzoor Ahmad Bhat and his hundreds of supporters into the Congress party and appreciated them for reposing faith under the policies and programmes of the Congress.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikar Rasool Wani declared that many more elected representative and prominent political leaders have expressed their desire to join Congress given its pro-people policies and the struggle to ensure the deliverance of justice and safeguarding people rights, which are under assault since the BJP came into power, at the same time, Wani felt confident that Congress will ensure justice to people despite the falsehood and political exploitation on the part of BJP.
JKPCC President lamented BJP for punishing people by making them unrepresented and abandoning them of their democratic rights which is a deliberate move besides failing to restore statehood to J&K despite promising to do so on the floor of the Parliament. People are feeling insecure while having realized that BJP Govt is settling scores by snatching their rights one after another by a stroke of a pen, Wani added.
JKPCC Chief urged the new entrants to use the Congress Platform to serve people to the best of their ability as serving people without any discrimination is the core of Congress, which is vibrant and stronger in J&K and the rest of the country.
AICC Member Abid Ahmad Bhat (Kashmiri) welcomed the new entrants into Congress Party hoping that their joining will further strengthen the Congress Party. He also hailed JKPCC Chief for his tireless efforts to make the party more vibrant in J&K.
Those who were present on this occasion included DCC President Pulwama Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Gulsher Khan, Bashir Ahmad Khan, Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan, Dr.Fayaz, Waseem Ahmad Shalla, Firdous Ahmad Wani, and various other leaders and workers.
Meanwhile JKPCC Chief welcomed BJP Women’s Wing Block President of Kalaroos (Kupwara) Mrs. Bakhti into Congress Party at the Srinagar Party office in the presence of Senior Congress Leader and Ex. MLC Ghulam Nabi Monga. He (Monga) termed the new joining an outcome of pro-people policies and programmes of Congress
