New Delhi, Oct 9: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, celebrated for her on screen charm and independent spirit, shared insights on how her understanding of wealth has evolved over a career spanning 26 years. Speaking at an event for HSBC Premier, Kareena discussed the personal and professional experiences that shaped her approach to money and success.
“Over time, my idea of wealth has definitely evolved,” Kareena reflected. “When I started my career, wealth meant something very different. Today, it’s more than just having money in the bank.” She highlighted that wealth now also encompasses independence, self-respect, and equality, particularly for women navigating male-dominated professions.
The actress credited her marriage to Saif Ali Khan for reinforcing her values of independence and self-identity. “As life changes, as you experience work and relationships, you realize the importance of independence. For me, it was always very clear that I wanted to maintain my identity and career, even after getting married,” she said.
Motherhood has further shaped her financial perspective. “Now, as a mother, I want to enjoy my wealth in the present, but I also want to plan for the future. It’s about finding the right balance between enjoying life and being responsible,” Kareena added.
Professionally, Kareena remains focused on her latest venture, Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming film ‘Daayra’, where she stars alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran.
