JAMMU,05-11-2024: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta strongly backed the statement made by LG Manoj Sinha assuring that properties linked to terror supporters will be razed without any exceptions.
Speaking to media persons after chairing a meeting of party leaders at Party Headquarters here today, the BJP stalwart asked the government to take immediate measures to crackdown on terrorism and its sympathizers in the region. He said that zero tolerance against terrorism as stated by PM Narendra Modi should be implemented in letter and spirit, and whosoever is indulging in activities to vitiate peace should be tackled with iron hands. He reiterated that any form of support or shelter extended to terrorist elements must be met with zero tolerance.
“We welcome the LG’s bold stand that houses of terror supporters will be razed, and we call on the administration to take swift and decisive action to ensure that such properties are identified and razed without delay. This will send a strong message that Jammu and Kashmir will not tolerate any shelter for those who wish to disrupt peace and security,” the senior BJP functionary said while stressing on the importance of rooting out the terror ecosystem in the region.
The former DyCM of J&K State said, “It is high time that full force of the law be brought down on those who harbour or extend support to terrorists”.
Kavinder also expressed wholehearted support to the ongoing operations by security forces and urged the administration to continue its efforts to restore lasting peace in the region.
