Kavinder welcomes banning of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, says noose against anti-India brigade to be further tightened 

JAMMU, DEC 31: Kavinder Gupta, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister has welcomed the Govt’s decision banning the separatist organization Tehreek-e-Hurriyat of Syed Ali Shah Geelani under UAPA and intensifying efforts in the direction of totally demolishing the terror infrastructure by punishing those involved in the disintegration tirade against the nation. He said that it is the result of a zero-tolerance policy of the Modi Govt towards separatists and terrorists that the noose against such an anti-India brigade has been tightened the most never ever witnessed before. He expressed this in his address during functions held under ‘Booth Jan Samvad Abhiyan’ at Ward No: 22 and 51 here today.
The senior BJP leader said that as of today the figures on record speak of the Govt’s strong determination to wipe out terrorism from the roots. The very fact that there has been a decline of 63 per cent in terror-related incidents as compared to the last year and recruitment of terrorists also having gone down with besides strike calls and stone-pelting totally declined today is ample indication of the success achieved by the zero-tolerance policy against the enemies of the nation within and outside. He said that the crackdown on the terrorists and separatists will be further intensified by the Govt in the coming time. He said that organizations like Tehreek-e-Hurriyat and its ilk were responsible for separatism and terrorism in J&K and post Article 370 abrogation the Government’s zero-tolerance policy delivered unprecedented results. He said that there are still some more anti-India elements on the move and very soon they will be handed over the strictest punishment by the nation’s security forces. He assured that each and every person involved either actively or remotely in this bloody campaign against the nation and its people will definitely face the tune of law in the coming time.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta while highlighting the aim of ‘Booth Jan Samvad Abhiyan’ said that BJP’s commitment to inclusive governance as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ has fostered a sense of belonging with renewed spirit and confidence among the people today. He urged the party functionaries to reach out to each booth and engage in Samvad explaining to the people the schemes and historic initiatives taken by Prime Minister Modi-led BJP Government with the aim to benefit and uplift the poor and downtrodden in society.
Rajkumar Tarkhan, former Chairman JMC and Corporator also addressed the gathering at Ward No: 51 Channi Himmat. He urged the foot soldiers of the party to be proactive and remain present among the people at the grassroots level leaving no stone unturned in ensuring unprecedented success to the party in the 2024 Parliamentary elections.
