BANI (Kathua): The much-anticipated Koti Premium League (KPL) Season 4 came to a thrilling conclusion at the Koti Stadium, with the Koti Cricket Club emerging as the champions. The final match, played between Koti Cricket Club and Chandyar Cricket Club, showcased a display of exceptional cricketing skills and sportsmanship.
The nail-biting final match witnessed intense competition as Chandyar Cricket Club set a target of 93 runs for the Koti Cricket Club. However, the Koti team showcased their mettle and achieved the target with 15 balls remaining and 6 wickets in hand, clinching the victory.
The prestigious event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest, Dr. Rameshwar Singh, who is renowned for his contributions to sports and community welfare. Dr. Singh was accompanied by esteemed Guest of Honor, Ex MLA Jeevan Lal.
Dr. Rameshwar Singh presented the winning trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10,000 to the victorious Koti Cricket Club. The Man of the Series award was bestowed upon Jamal Din for his outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rameshwar Singh emphasized the importance of sports participation and encouraged the youth to stay away from drugs. As part of his commitment to the well-being of the community, Dr. Singh also organized a Yoga Camp and Free Medical Camp during the tournament, which received an overwhelming response from the participants and attendees.
