Kulgam, Nov 8: In a major counter terrorism operation, Kulgam Police launched a large-scale crackdown on Jammu and Kashmir nationals operating from Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), conducting multiple cordon and search operations (CASOs) across the district.
According to a police spokesperson, the operation aimed to dismantle the ecosystem of terror funding and facilitation in the region. Acting on specific intelligence inputs, raids were carried out at several locations targeting individuals allegedly involved in aiding and financing terror activities at the behest of their relatives currently based across the border.
During the operations, several associates and relatives of active J&K nationals operating from Pakistan and PoK were booked under relevant laws for their involvement in anti-national activities, including logistical support, propaganda dissemination, and recruitment assistance. Police also seized digital devices and incriminating materials from the suspects.
Kulgam Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and security in the district, asserting that the drive against terror facilitators will continue until the cross border network is completely dismantled.
