LAHDC Polls: Dispatch of all Polling Staffs, Polling Materials Concludes for Remote Polling Booths

Ladakh: In Ladakh, dispatch of all the polling staff, polling materials, and the security personnel deployed at remote and far off polling booths for the ensuing General Council Election of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh has completed today. The polling staff along with polling materials and the security personnel for the rest of the polling booths will leave the District Headquarter tomorrow.

Govt. sources report, the arrangement for the 22nd October polling is in the final stage and for the first time in its history of five terms of LAHDC, the polling is being held with EVM.

All the polling parties along with polling materials and the security personnel of ten constituencies five each in Nobra and Changthang and four polling booths of Sku Markha located within the Hemis National park have left Leh this morning to their respective polling booths.

While polling parties, polling materials, and the security personnel of two polling booths located in most remote areas of Lingshed Constituency have airlifted in helicopter of Indian Air Force.

Out of 294 polling booths which have set up across all the twenty-six Council territory constituencies, 15 of them have been identified as hypersensitive while 45 as sensitive polling booths.
