Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha holds meetings with social and academic delegations at Raj Bhavan

Raj Bhavan hosts back to back meetings with community leaders and young scholars

JAMMU, JANUARY 16: In a series of important interactions at Raj Bhavan today, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met delegations representing social organisations and the academic community, reaffirming the administration’s emphasis on inclusive dialogue and public engagement.

A delegation of Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana, led by its Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory President Shri Sandeep Jain, called on the Lieutenant Governor and discussed issues of social welfare, community initiatives and avenues for constructive participation in nation building. The delegation highlighted the role of voluntary organisations in promoting education, social harmony and humanitarian outreach, and expressed its commitment to working in collaboration with the administration for societal good.

Later, a delegation of LLM scholars from the University of Jammu, led by Advocate Ketan Kumar, also met the Lieutenant Governor. The interaction focused on academic and legal education related matters, including the aspirations of young legal scholars, emerging challenges in legal studies and the importance of research-driven learning. The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the scholars’ academic pursuits and encouraged them to uphold constitutional values, professional ethics and a spirit of public service in their future careers.

Both interactions reflected the Lieutenant Governor’s continued outreach with diverse sections of society, ranging from social organisations to academic institutions, aimed at strengthening participatory governance and fostering meaningful engagement with citizens and youth.
