Lucknow to Host Two-Day Conference of Presiding Officers on January 20–21

UP to host All India Presiding Officers’ Conference with CM Yogi and Governor Anandiben in attendance

Lucknow, Dec 29: The Uttar Pradesh capital will host a two-day All India Presiding Officers’ Conference on January 20–21, aimed at strengthening parliamentary traditions and legislative procedures across the country.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the conference, while Governor Anandiben Patel will preside over the closing ceremony. UP Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana announced the event on Monday, adding that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will also attend.

Presiding officers and parliamentary representatives from across India will deliberate on topics related to democratic processes, legislative strengthening, and parliamentary procedures.

Following the conference, delegates will visit Ayodhya on January 22 to offer prayers at the Shri Ram Temple. Preparations in Lucknow are in full swing, with elaborate arrangements made for the security and reception of the guests.

Mahana highlighted that the conference is a key initiative to reinforce democratic practices and enhance collaboration among parliamentary authorities nationwide.
