Mumbai, Nov 12 : Ravi Teja and Sreeleela’s latest Telugu release, Mass Jathara, which hit theatres on October 31, is gradually losing steam after its first week. As per early estimates, the film collected around ₹15 lakh on its second Tuesday, marking a continued decline in daily earnings.
According to Sacnilk, Mass Jathara opened decently with ₹3.1 crore on Friday, followed by ₹4.2 crore on Saturday and ₹3.15 crore on Sunday, wrapping up its opening weekend on a strong note. However, the movie’s performance dipped sharply from Monday, earning ₹1.2 crore, ₹1.15 crore, ₹1.03 crore, and ₹72 lakh between Monday and Thursday, bringing its first-week total to ₹4.55 crore.
In the second week, the film added ₹42 lakh on Friday, ₹58 lakh on Saturday, ₹81 lakh on Sunday, ₹19 lakh on Monday, and ₹15 lakh on Tuesday (day 11), taking its overall domestic collection to approximately ₹16.7 crore.
Theatre Occupancy
On Tuesday, Mass Jathara registered an average Telugu theatre occupancy of 16.90%, with the afternoon shows performing slightly better at 18.50%. Evening shows dipped to 15.18%, while night shows recorded 17.36% occupancy.
About the Film
Directed by debutant Bhanu Bogavarapu, the film features Ravi Teja as Lakshman Bheri, a principled Railway Police Force officer who takes on a drug lord, Shivadu (played by Naveen Chandra). Sreeleela stars as the female lead, while veteran actor Rajendra Prasad plays Teja’s grandfather.

Mass Jathara received mixed reviews from critics. While Ravi Teja’s energetic performance, action sequences, and punchy dialogues earned praise, the film was criticized for its predictable storyline and uneven direction.
