Jammu, Sept 12: The Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra, one of India’s most revered pilgrimages, is set to resume from Sunday, September 14, after remaining temporarily suspended due to adverse weather conditions and essential maintenance work on the track, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) announced on Friday.
Officials emphasized that the resumption of the yatra will depend on favorable weather conditions to ensure the safety of pilgrims. The temporary suspension, though necessary, had led to a brief pause in the flow of devotees who visit the sacred shrine nestled in the Trikuta Hills of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Shrine Board has issued an advisory urging pilgrims to carry valid identification documents, strictly follow designated pathways, and extend full cooperation to the on-ground staff managing the yatra.
