SRINAGAR, Jan 28: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti expressed deep shock and grief over the death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who was killed in a plane crash on Wednesday.
In a post on X, Mehbooba said, “Deeply shocked and saddened by reports of the tragic private plane crash claiming the life of Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar along with others. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. May the departed souls rest in peace.”
Pawar, 66, was among five people who lost their lives when the aircraft attempted an emergency landing at Baramati Airfield in Pune district. Officials confirmed there were no survivors in the crash.
